Join us at our Fall Swing Dance!

Join us the weekend before Halloween for a fun-for-all-ages swing dance and costume party on Saturday, October 26th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Midcoast Strong, 143 Maverick Street, Rockland, in a chem-free fundraiser for the Good Tern Co-op’s refrigeration expansion.

All ages and abilities are welcome, a mini swing dance lesson will be provided at the beginning of the event by dancers Stefan Durham and Bethany Powell. Bring a costume and your dancing shoes for a night of fun! Seasonal treats and light snacks will be available.

Tickets are on a sliding scale from $15 to $25 for adults, and kids under 16 are free (kids must be accompanied by an adult). Pay what you are able as we want this event to be accessible to the community. Tickets are available in at the door by cash or check only.

The Good Tern is raising money to offset the recent expansion housing a new refrigeration unit. The added space allows the Co-op to support more local farms by buying and storing their produce while continuing their mission to provide the most nutritious food at the best price to Rockland and surrounding communities. There will be information available at the break for people who’d like to get involved in the “Love Your Co-op!” fundraising campaign or make a tax-deductible donation. So far $44,000 has been raised toward a goal of $165,000. The Good Tern would like to thank Midcoast Strong for donating use of their space.
