Become a Member-Owner
The Good Tern is always accepting new owners. By purchasing an equity share in the Good Tern, you are contributing to a democratically controlled organization with a focus on supporting local farmers, vendors, and producers. Owners may vote in annual elections typically held during the annual meeting each Spring. The Good Tern is governed by an elected board of 9 member-owner directors who each serve three-year terms. The Board of Directors hires and oversees a general manager to run the day to day operations along with staff members and our devoted working members.
Members receive a 3% discount on most items, and a 10% discount on full-case special orders. Co-op members are able to attend board meetings, participate on committees, vote and/or run for the board of directors, attend and vote at annual meetings, and more!
One-adult households make annual equity payments of $18 for ten years, or a one-time payment of $180.
Multiple-adult households make annual equity payments of $36 for ten years, or a one-time payment of $360.
Supporting Members:
Make an annual equity payment of $36 and receive a 3% discount on most items with 10% off full-case special orders for your business or restaurant. This is a non-voting membership.
